The Skins
Top-quality kidskin nappa, metisse suede and wide variety of merino & curly shearlings are used in our garments.
We work with dedicated tanneries that prepare the skins exclusively to our needs and specifications. Apart from reversibility, some other specifications that are 'a must' for our selection are; softness, lightness and durability.
The Cutting
After we receive the skins that are ready to be cut and sewed, our master craftsmen in the cutting department hand-pick the each leather one by one to avoid any faulty skins mixing into the production, thus begins the journey of producing best quality garments from start to finish.
The leather is cut by hand, with the help of dedicated patterns to each style & size and cutting & measuring equipments.
The Tailoring
After the cutting process, perfectly cut leather pieces are ready to be put together, our master tailors assemble every single piece with the utmost care.
The sewing of a single jacket can involve up to 4 craftsmen and it can take more than 3 hours.
The Finishing
Once the sewing process is complete, it's time for; hand-stitching, final ironing and last but not least; the quality control. Here at Famoso every single garment goes through quality control before packaging.
